Queen’s beats Ormond College in men’s Aussie Rules grand final
Congratulations to our men’s Aussie Rules team who were victorious in their grand final against Ormond on 3 September. University Oval was the scene of the action, and our boys got off to a flyer taking the lead early on in the match with four unanswered goals in the first quarter. And despite a come back from Ormond in the final stanza, our lead was never surrendered. Best on ground was Oliver Hicks, with notable goal kicking performances from Will Horsfall (3), Tyrone Bean (2) and Charlie Crozier (2). The final score was 66 – 50.
With the support of Wyvern coaches: Hamish Seller, Matt Corney, Charlie Youngman and Tom Cousins, the team—captained by Jack Sheridan—went through the six week season undefeated!
Congratulations to the whole squad and coaching staff for an amazing season—and thanks to all our supporters who cheered them on!
