Connect and Be Involved

Keep your contact details up to date so that you stay informed of the latest events and developments involving Wyverns.

Wyvern LinQ

Wyvern Linq (https://wyverns.org.au) is our central site for Wyvern news, events and activities and aims to help foster greater social and professional connections within our Wyvern and Queen’s College community.

Wyvern Dinner

The annual Wyvern Dinner is the Wyvern Society’s most popular event and is an evening of excellent food and catching up with wonderful friends. The prestigious ‘Wyvern of the Year‘ Award is presented at this dinner to a member of the Wyvern Society in recognition of exceptional and outstanding service to the community.

Reunions

Reunions are held throughout the year and are an excellent way to catch up with old friends and hear about the latest developments at Queen’s. We hold reunion gatherings at the College, interstate, and overseas. Visit the Events page to find out when the next reunion is being held. Alternatively, if you would like to organise your own reunion, please email the Advancement office (wyverns@queens.unimelb.edu.au) so we can assist.

Social Events

The Wyvern Society organises a number of social events, including after-work drinks, wine tours, golf days, and the annual AFL footy tipping competition.

Professional Engagement

Queen’s College and the Wyvern Society organise a number of events annually to foster the continued professional and intellectual development of our alumni. These can range from Faculty Dinners, inspirational talks from distinguished Wyverns, to participating in our mentoring program. Visit the Events page to find out what is coming up.

Mentoring

As part of our current program to facilitate the professional and academic development of our students, Queen’s College is looking for members of its Wyvern community who would be willing to act as mentors.

We welcome all members of the Wyvern community, whether you are a young or established professional. Your involvement could range from answering questions via email to regular catch-ups over coffee – the program is designed to be flexible in order to fit any work schedule.

If you are interested in being a mentor, please register your interest by emailing wyverns@queens.unimelb.edu.au.

Wyvern Newsletter & In Aeternum

The Wyvern newsletter is sent out via email each quarter and contains the latest news regarding the activities of the Wyvern Society, Wyverns and the College. In Aeternum is our Wyvern magazine published annually in December.

You can read the current and previous editions of In Aeternum and the Newsletter on the Publications page.
