Cruden Farm visit by the Sugden Society
One of the highlights of the Sugden Society’s engagement programme this year was a garden tour of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch’s former home, Cruden Farm, in Langwarrin.
The property was a wedding gift from the late Sir Keith Murdoch to his bride in 1928. The garden was designed by Edna Walling and features the iconic driveway with lemon scented gums.
A feature of the Sugden Society is the regular invitations to its members and other members of the Queen’s community to participate in special sessions or outings.
The membership of the Society (those who have remembered the College in their estate) has grown. Not all of these intended gifts are large, but they do represent a universal interest in giving back to Queen’s out of gratitude.
If you would like to discuss making a bequest to Queen’s College, you can find out more information on our Bequest page.
