Queen’s College farewells the Dean of Studies, Dr Brenda Holt, who is leaving the College in July to take up the role of Deputy Director, Innovation and Program Development at Monash College.
During her time at Queen’s Dr Holt initiated significant improvements to our academic programs which culminated in the highest recorded performance throughout the College’s long academic history.
Her achievements included: the restructuring of academic staff with the creation of live-in Residential Tutor roles; the establishment of a Wyvern (alumni) Mentor Program for our residents; the introduction of a careers readiness week-long program; and the embedding of systematic academic advice for all students.
In her role as Dean of Studies, Dr Holt’s portfolio also oversaw alumni relations and development, the Library and IT Services, and the administration of the Middle and Senior Commons where her strategic acumen was well utilised.
The whole College community warmly thanks Brenda for her important contributions to the College, and we wish her the very best in her future endeavours.
