Celebrating diversity and legacy
Mary Clementina de Garis (1881 – 1963) – A Medical Trailblazer (Wyverna (1900 – 04)
Join us in celebrating diversity and legacy at Queen’s College through art.
We invite you to contribute to history by helping us expand our art collection to honor those who have enriched the Queen’s community.
With your support, we will commission a portrait of Dr. Mary Clementina De Garis (Wyverna 1900), the second woman in Victoria to earn a Doctorate of Medicine. This portrait will be displayed in the Junior Common Room as a lasting inspiration for current and future generations and will be the first female portrait of a Wyverna in that space.
To support this historic initiative, please consider donating to our campaign. Your contribution will help preserve and celebrate the legacy of Mary Clementina de Garis for years to come, and grow our Art and Archives fund for future projects.
